Author's note: I created this page because I wanted to try to start writing some more poetry. I found this website, http://www.types-of-poetry.org.uk, to help me explore some different types of poetry. This goes without saying that most of the posts for this page will not be the best but please keep in mind that I have never heard some some of these styles, so it will be my first time writing like this. Also, all of the definitions for the poem are from the website above.

All of the trees are
Bright Green at this time. With the height of the trees, they act like a
Canopy over our heads. The excitement of the outdoors is so overwhelming that we
Dance with joy. We think of all the animals that could be in this same jungle . . .
Elephants, parrots, snakes, and
Frogs. We cannot contain our joy it is so overwhelming. I think to myself 'What a
Glamorous morning?!' The sun is peeking at it's highest
Height, as we continue our walk we decided to
Include our dog,
Jerry, Now you see, Jerry has a stuffed
Kangaroo that he must take everywhere, no matter the mood. He
Loves it to death as if it were real,
My best friend forever, Elizabeth, is here to stay the
Night, how fun it will be out here in the jungle,
Open spaces to
Play all night, where the
Queerest things happen no matter the way.
Ravens are circling the sky today,
So, why not just take the day away
Today and everyday
Unique things will happens,
Various creatures will cross our path,
While we stay in our jungle home there will be no
X-Rays of broken bones or
Yelling or screaming just the peacefulness of our
Zone surrounding us every day and every night.

Happily running, down the street then
Happily running, down the street then
Happily ran into the woods?!
